- Body measurements — Body weight entries, height, date of birth, sex. Purpose: To personalize the app, estimate calories, and show trends
- Health-related preferences — Joints or areas you want to go easy on, experience level, training goal. Purpose: To tailor exercise suggestions and avoid exercises you asked us to avoid
- Apple Health workouts (optional) — Workouts and their duration, energy, distance, and source, read from Apple Health. Purpose: To display your Apple workouts in your timeline. Read on your device only; not uploaded
Where it comes from
You provide this information directly, or, for Apple Health workouts, it is read from Apple Health on your device with your permission.
Who we share it with
We share consumer health data only with service providers that process it on our behalf to run the Service: Google (Firebase: authentication and database) and, for support messages, an email delivery provider. Apple Health data is not sent to any third party by us. We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- confirm that we collect your consumer health data and access it, including a list of third parties and affiliates we have shared it with;
- withdraw your consent to our collection or use of it. You can disconnect Apple Health in Hard Mode Settings or iOS Settings under Health, and you can stop entering optional information;
- request that we delete it. You can delete your account in the app, which deletes your profile, workouts, and body-weight entries; or you can contact us.
To make a request, email support@gethardmode.com or write to the mailing address above. We will respond within the time the law requires (generally 45 days). If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and if you are not satisfied you may contact your state attorney general.
Consent
We collect and use consumer health data to provide the Service you asked for, and we ask for your separate consent before reading Apple Health workouts. We would ask for separate consent before any sharing beyond what is described here.
Changes
We will update this policy as needed and notify you of material changes in the app or by email.
